Whatever your taste, Tankardstown, exuding understated elegance and luxury, provides the perfect backdrop for the wedding day of your dreams.

On arrival, guests are welcomed into the Main House drawing rooms for pre-dinner drinks & canapés, then following down the winding staircase to the magnificent Orangery where dining, worthy of its surroundings, is served with great care and attention to detail.

We would love to come and have a show around of Tankardstown to get a feel for the place?

Viewings of Tankardstown are by appointment only with one of our wedding co-ordinators. A simple call or email and our wedding co-ordinators will be delighted to arrange a suitable time so they can offer you the best viewing of our beautiful property.

How many people can Tankardstown host for a Wedding?

The Orangery can seat up to 230 wedding guests. The wedding reception can be as large or as intimate as you wish. We can create a more intimate setting for smaller wedding parties within this beautiful space. Our smaller tables seat up to 8 wedding guests comfortably while our larger tables can seat up to 12 wedding guests comfortably.

Do you have a minimum number of guest requirements?

On Thursdays we have a minimum of 80 wedding guests required, Fridays a minimum of 120, and Saturdays require a minimum of 140 guests. Sunday-Wednesday there is a minimum of 50 guests.

Myself and my partner live abroad and would like to enquire about our wedding at Tankardstown?

Many of our brides and grooms live abroad so we are well equipped to help you every step of the way. We have dedicated wedding co-coordinators here who you can speak with on the phone or email. A viewing of our property can be arranged for you and your fiancé at a time that suits you. Alternatively, in the past we have had couples parents and siblings come for the viewing.

Can you tell me more about guest accommodation?

It is a requirement to book all 7 rooms in the Main House on the night of the Wedding. In addition to this we have Courtyard Cottages Suites which can accommodate up to 36 people at full capacity.

How do we select dishes for our Wedding Dinner?

The selection of dishes will depend on which Wedding Package you have selected. A lot of consideration has been injected into creating the Master Wedding Menu. Each and every dish on this menu has been tested to ensure that only the finest produce is being served in its prime. Based on your wedding package you submit your choices of the ideal wedding meal that you would like to enjoy and serve to your guests on your wedding day.

Do you host Ceremonies on-site?

On-site Ceremonies can be held 7 days a week. There is a an additional charge to hold an outdoor ceremony or indoor ceremony. For further information on procedures please see the official government website www.groireland.ie. The HSE holds ceremonies Monday-Friday only. For weekend ceremonies, a Religious or Secular Solemniser is required.

Do you provide wheelchair access?

With prior notification we can provide wheelchair ramps for the main house and direct access to The Orangery is available through a ground level door.
