Exclusively yours for your perfect day, guests are welcomed into the Main House drawing rooms for pre-dinner drinks & canapés, then following down the winding staircase to the magnificent Orangery where dining, worthy of its surroundings, is served with great care and attention to detail.

The Orangery

The Orangery at Tankardstown nestles comfortably around the main house at lower garden level. Bursting with light this wonderful airy space is adorned with chandeliers, antique furniture and gilt edged mirrors. Seating for up to 250 diners can be catered for at round tables dressed with silk coverings.

The most magical day

"We knew from the first time we drove up the driveway to Tankardstown that it was where we would get married and it did not disappoint. Tankardstown exceeded all of our expectations and helped deliver for us the most magical day. In the lead up to the wedding Sarah-Jane was absolutely brilliant in helping us organise the rooms and for accommodation and a family dinner the night prior to the wedding. Our coordinator Gemma was such a gem and nothing was too much of an ask. She was incredibly organised and made the wedding planning so seamless and as stress-free as possible for us. On the day Fran seemed to be everywhere and looking after everyone at the same time! We honestly had the best day and Tankardstown not only made us feel so special, but all of our guests felt like royalty and are still commenting on the level of service and professionalism of the team. The food was brilliant and we’ve never seen a wedding dinner served so efficiently – all the tables got their food at the same time. The venue itself is absolutely stunning and no matter what the weather, the atmosphere at Tankardstown is relaxed, intimate and luxurious. However it is the staff who truly make it an unforgettable experience. We can’t wait for an excuse to return."

"Tankardstown House was the perfect venue from the moment we stepped foot on site. The team were phenomenal and the service was next to none. Aine our coordinator was brilliant as was Sarah Jane on reservations as we had allocated guests their rooms. Absolutely loved the day, it was perfect in every way. The bridal prep suite is gorgeous and the orangery itself is stunning. Can't fault it. Will definitely visit again to celebrate our anniversary."

Thank you all for being so wonderful and helpful from the time we enquired about booking to when we left. The attention to detail and care you put into our day made everything so enjoyable and the day ran so smoothly. Our guests had nothing but praise for the venue. The Secret Garden was so beautiful, and the photos did not prepare me for how great it is to have a dedicated space for getting ready. Please pass on my thanks to Alex who was so attentive during the meal. Steven for MCing and helping us when we needed it. Terry for the late-night assistance and the rest of the staff and bar crew for making it such a great venue. Thank you again and hopefully we’ll be back soon for dinner in the restaurant.

A massive, massive thank you

A massive, massive thank you to Sarah, Fran and all the staff who looked after us so well over the weekend. We had an absolute ball, and the place just looked so stunning, we couldn’t believe it was our own wedding we were sitting in. Everyone complimented the house, the food, the staff - everything. Some of my cousins who had allergies couldn’t believe the attention given to them in explaining everything, honestly it was just 5 star. Thank you for all of your help in the run up to the day, you were so attentive in helping us organise everything and all the last minute chopping and changing with the table plan. Fran was unbelievable, he was just so good to everyone, and he was very popular with both of our families! We really had the best day ever (and got so lucky with the weather in the end!). Thanks again for an unforgettable day, it was amazing.

Extra special day

From the minute we entered Tankardstown House we were so well looked after. We were so delighted when we got the go ahead with having the ceremony outdoors and have nature all around us, I think it made the day extra special. It was the first outdoor ceremony for many of our guests and for ourselves. The walled garden is so unique and made a great backdrop for photos. We even made a quick trip down to the polytunnel for a few very different shots. The meal was spectacular, Fran and his team were on their A Game and really looked after us and all our guests. Please pass on my special thanks to the Chef and his team, everything was absolutely delicious. Our guests have been raving about the day, the location, the house, the grounds, the food, but in particular all the staff. We were sad to leave the next day, but we know we will be back. You and the team have made what was a very special day for us even more special. From the bottom of our hearts thank you so much.

Staff are so lovely

We got married in Tankardstown House and honestly, we cannot fault a single thing - the staff are all so lovely and always went out of their way to help. Sarah, the wedding coordinator was a dream to work with and made everything run so smoothly, nothing was too much of an ask, and she was so understanding. Communication was always very good. Fran and Des were there on hand on the day to help too - again, they made sure everything went to plan and were two gentlemen from start to finish. The food was so good, everyone commented on how amazing it was! We cannot wait to come and visit again, whether that is to stay overnight or dine at the Brabazon restaurant.

What a dream

Tankardstown was an absolute dream of a wedding venue! We originally booked the venue during COVID, having only seen parts over zoom. When we finally had a chance to see the venue in person, we were blown away! Planning the wedding from abroad was also challenging, but the wedding support team was excellent and so flexible. We couldn't have asked for a better team. The wedding day was absolutely amazing, and we are still in awe of the amazing job Tankardstown did. Every single detail was done perfectly, the food was amazing, the drinks were great, and a special shout-out to Fran, who was an absolute star! Literally there to help with every little request and detail! We cannot thank the team at Tankardstown enough. It truly was the most magically venue, with guests still talking about what a dream it was!
