Brabazon Restaurant at Tankardstown House, Slane, Co. Meath has recently re-opened after undergoing expansion and renovations. To mark the occasion, they hosted a Grand Re-Opening evening where lucky guests were some of the first to enjoy the new interiors and newly revised Tasting Menu.

Guests were invited to celebrate the occasion and experience firsthand the outstanding cuisine and unparalleled service that Tankardstown and Brabazon Restaurant is known for. The evening began with a welcome champagne reception, where guests had the opportunity to mingle and meander the renewed interiors and stunning new Morris Suite, before being seated to a mouth-watering eight course Entirely Tankardstown Tasting Menu. Each course offered a feast for the eyes and the palate, including ‘Local Rabbit’, ‘Salmon Mi Cuit’ and ‘Fillet of Beef’.  Live entertainment was provided by vocalist Sean Boland, enhancing the excitement and appetite for a wonderful evening.

“We are thrilled to re-open and reveal the new look Brabazon Restaurant”, said Tankardstown’s General Manager Tadhg Carolan. “The addition of the Morris Suite has allowed us to increase our capacity significantly and we look forward to welcoming both old and new diners back to Brabazon.”

Appropriately named after the previous owner of Tankardstown, the award-winning restaurant boasts fine dining and a cosy atmosphere. Head Chef Johnny Sarkozi and his team offer a culinary experience based on seasonality and local produce; some of which is grown in the estate’s own kitchen garden and polytunnels. Both casual lunch and classic evening dining can be enjoyed Wednesday through Sunday, with Traditional Afternoon Tea set to be introduced in the coming weeks. During the spring and summer months, guests can dine alfresco on Brabazon’s Terrace, while the cosy, sophisticated interiors and bright Morris Suite is perfect for dining at any time of year.

With recent accolades including 2AA Rosettes and the Restaurant Association of Ireland’s ‘Best Restaurant in Meath’, Brabazon Restaurant has become a true destination for diners, and lives long in the memory of all who visit.
