Secret Dining
Now for something a little bit special! We've converted the old milking parlour into a private dining space. But rather than completely refurbishing the place we kept most of the original charm with beautiful stone walls and wooden rafters (complete with straw!). This is a special place for entertaining groups of up to 36, with specially selected menus and a wonderful small private bar.
Secret Dining can hold between 30/36 guests to dine and can be set up with round or rectangular tables. In the summer the patio outside is perfect for BBQ'S and al fresco dining. We enjoyed our stay at Tankardstown House very much! It's a lovely place, beautifully decorated, with a wonderful mixture of old world charm and modern day comfort. The house felt like an old friend's residence, rather than a hotel, and the grounds were beautiful. The staff took excellent care to see that we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We especially enjoyed Thomas, the young man from Poland, who served us at dinner and breakfast. He was an impressive server with a charming personality! We happily recommend the house to anyone looking for accomodations in the area and we hope to return again someday!
