From Dublin - Take the M1 Motorway north and take the exit at the end of the Boyne Bridge sign posted NAVAN/DROGHEDA.  Take the  Slane exit  and proceed towands the village of Slane - approx 7km. (or take the N2 Ashbourne bypass - and come to the crossroads in the village and go left).Go through the crossroads and after approx 1.5km you will come to the entrance of Slane Castle - opposite this is a turn to the right - take this turn and keep straight until the fork in the road.  Stay Left at the fork and proceed straight for about 2.5km and Tankardstown House is the last property on the right hand side.

From Belfast - Take the A1 Continue to A501, then to A12 and on to M1. Exit the M1 at Junction 8 to the A101. Enter the A1. Continue on to the N1. Continue on to the M1(signposted Dublin).

Continue forward onto Main Street - N51 Entering Slane village - approx 7 miles - pass through the cross roads and after approx. 1 mile you will come to the main entrance to Slane Castle on the left hand side.  Opposite this entrance take a right turn - Tankardstown is signposted - and proceed to the fork in the road -DO NOT TAKE the first left for Kells.  At the fork stay left and after 2.5m Tankardstown is the last property on the right hand side.
